What started as a trio has grown into a quintet. On their third studio album, The Winter Of Mixed Drinks, Scottish indie rock/folk band Frightened Rabbit has expanded their numbers and their sound. They’ve evolved closer to the rock spectrum from their folky beginnings.
While more sophisticated and electronic, some of the melody the group is known has become lost.

After meeting former Melbourne singer, Alex Lawhon the new band’s sessions resulted in the self released, self titled album Colourslide. Featuring producer Ted Comerford and mixed by Ken Andrews the album proves this alt-rock band has heart, can survive and can rock.

After finally hitting big with Final Straw, the pressure was on to produce again. Showing cool under pressure, Snow Patrol triumphs with Eyes Open. The album is heart-warming and melodic, yet powerful and audacious.

Sound Mirrors is the first full length album from Coldcut in nearly 8 years. I’m normally not a fan of Electronica, but the hip hop beats and intriguing mixes are engaging. The LP features the vocal talents of Jon Spencer, Roots Manuva, Mike Ladd and many others.
